hi I have purchase iPhone Car Dock and installed it in my BMW 530i/e60/2007. Car Dock is connected to the audio system via Aux. The problem is since I listen my iPhone music through Car Dock and car Audio the level of volume gets restricted. In other words the volume of sound is just not enough. Whereas, when I connect the iPhone to Aux directly with an Aux cable, rather than Car Dock, all sounds okay. I have posted this on you tech support site once, but it you never got back with feedback. Can you please help to resolve this problem? thanks.

ReplyDeleteYour problem appeared because Dension's Audio output works with a standard line-out level.
The line-out of the iPhone is an amplified (headset) line-out and previously there were some BMWs where the line-in was a headset line-in too with small impendancy.
Nowadays the volume issue is solved by the car headunit itself as you can set up the volume of the AUX devices with the car radio. But in case of your car radio that has a low impendancy line-in this volume set up is not possible.
You may try to connect your iPhone via FM but we can not ensure that it solves this car head unit issue sufficiently.
I have purchased the Gateway Five and use it with a VW Touareg and RNS510.
ReplyDeleteSince the latest firmware update (0038) the headunit will wake when the car is parked and locked and displays the phone menu connected to 'Unknown number' and 'User not connected' - my Iphone is not connected to the headunit either.
This has rendered the Gateway unusable as it drains the battery by waking the RNS510 when the car is locked. Please can you rectify ASAP.
Good, I have a GW500 MOST BTA1500, when I make a phone call or the receipt, the sound of the speakers and the microphone is very low, I have done what they say on their website + and + *** 12 # # # 8 ( my phone is an iPhone 4 and my radio a Comand APS Mercedes Benz NTG2) but does not change anything because the phone making the call. I have also updated the firmware that I downloaded from their website I updated to the latest version 2.22. I also used to enhance the sound file to 6 dB, but I like I can improve Like the sound of the phone calls?. So I can not make or receive calls. Thank you for your attention

ReplyDeleteThe thing is that your BTA1500 requires a special re-programming process that can only be done by the factory. You need to open a support ticket and discuss returning the product with our support colleagues. I am truly sorry for the inconviniences.

ReplyDeleteYour problem with Gateway Five-RNS510 combination seemes to be a unique case that has never happened before - as far as we know.
Hereby I would like to ask you to try to install first the 0039 software upgrade awailable from support.dension.com. If it does not solve your problem we will definitely need to get in touch with the support to go a bit deeper.
